EAST END DENTISTRY COVID-19 UPDATE
DEAR EAST END FAMILY,
We are excited to share with you the news that we have just received word from the Illinois Department of Public Health and we will officially be open as of May 18 for ALL patient care! This will include "routine" or hygiene visits.
As a reminder, please review the following changes to our office protocol at this time:
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
Every team member will have their temperature taken when they arrive and if elevated that team member will be sent home.
We are implementing a higher level of Personal Protective Equipment (masks, gowns, shields, etc). We have also purchased additional “Isovac” units which will eliminate most aerosols that may be generated.
We will schedule patients in a manner which will minimize contact with other patients in the waiting room. To that end, we ask that you arrive ON TIME to your appointment – not early and not late. We request that all patients do not bring “extra” individuals with them, unless that individual is a caretaker/essential.
We will ask you to wait in your vehicle until your appointment time and will call you when we are ready for you. We want to be sure we have sufficient time to sanitize “high touch” surfaces in the office before you arrive.
We will take patient’s temperature and if elevated, they will be sent home. One exception would be if that patient is in pain, as a bacterial infection causing tooth pain may also cause an elevated temperature.
All patients will wash hands with soap and water upon arrival.
All patients will rinse for 60 seconds with a special rinse before treatment.
Bathroom will be wiped down after each patient use with hospital grade wipes.
Waiting area/ front desk will be wiped after every patient (door handles, coffee table, chairs, reception counter, etc.) All reading material has been removed from reception area.
If you have symptoms of respiratory illness, please notify our staff. We will need to reschedule your visit.
If you are immune compromised and are scheduled for non-essential treatment, we will need to reschedule your visit.
Finally, the necessity of each patient visit will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Please understand that we may request that you reschedule your visit.
